Seeking Experienced Neurological Occupational Therapists

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist with strong neurological rehabilitation experience to join a specialist Neuro Therapy service in Croydon.


This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist looking to work across a variety of neurological settings, supporting patients with complex neurological conditions to maximise independence, function and quality of life through specialist rehabilitation interventions. The successful candidate will rotate across services within the Integrated Neuro Therapy Team and work autonomously whilst receiving support from senior clinicians.

Key Requirements

• Significant experience within Neurological Occupational Therapy
• HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
• Minimum 18 months post-graduate Occupational Therapy experience, including Neuro rehabilitation exposure
• Previous NHS Occupational Therapy experience
• Experience managing complex neurological caseloads
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and rehabilitation planning skills
• Comfortable working across community and multidisciplinary settings
• Ability to supervise and support junior staff, assistants and students
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

The Role


You will be responsible for:

• Managing a specialist neurological caseload
• Delivering evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions
• Supporting patients with physical, cognitive, perceptual and functional rehabilitation needs
• Facilitating safe discharge planning and maximising patient independence
• Assessing and recommending equipment, adaptations and wheelchairs where appropriate
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings
• Supporting rehabilitation support workers, assistants and students
• Contributing to service development and clinical governance activities
